The Japan Times is pleased to announce that it will be holding its 8th spelling bee in March, 2017. This is based on the success of our 7 bees to date, which saw participation from Japanese and International schools from all over Japan.
The winner of the contest will earn the right to compete in the final of the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. as the representative from Japan. Round-trip travel and hotel accommodation will be provided for the winner of the contest and one escort.
