Important Deadlines / Key Dates

The 8th Japan Times Bee
  1. Enrollment with Scripps and The Japan Times (Early Bird rate)
    by Oct 14th 2016  ($145)
  2. Enrollment with Scripps and The Japan Times (Standard rate)
    by Dec 12th 2016  ($220)
  3. Inform the JT about the date of your school bee
    by Dec 12th (or as soon as known based on the dates below)
  4. Conduct your school bee
    between Dec 13th & Feb 3rd 

Please note that school winners must satisfy both of the below age criteria to qualify for the Japan Times Bee:

  1. The speller must not have passed beyond the eighth grade on or before February 1, 2017.
  2. The speller must not have reached his/her 15th birthday on or before August 31, 2016.
